Our Autumn Schedule
Hello Walla Walla Friends,
With the change of the seasons, I usually have a change of schedule and one or 2 new offerings. I thought I’d make a blog post and send out an email with those opportunities and changes .
1) I am sooooo excited to be collaborating with Charlotte Watership to bring the community an Autumn Equinox Retreat. We started to organize having 4 workshops each year for the change of the seasons. We managed to have one before the pandemic hit. Well…. we decided that we feel safe enough now to offer one this Autumn for the Equinox and hopefully we’ll be able to offer them from now on for each Equinox and Solstice. (Click on the image below to get more info and purchase your spot).
2) The Saturday “Yoga In The Vines” classes has moved back inside. We are no longer amongst the vines (until next Summer anyway). That means that ALL public classes are at First Congregational Church in Fellowship Hall. The “new” space there has been lovely. Although it may not be quite as aesthetically pleasing as Carnegie, it is WAY more spacious and that has been a blessing. Plus we still have natural light and the good company of each other. So now the schedule (shorthand) is:
All Levels ~ T/Th/Sat ~ 8:30am-9:30am
Gentle ~ W/F ~ 10am-11am
If you have other questions, head over to CJoyYoga.com for more info. If you still have more questions…. well… you know where to find me :-)
On a separate note. I can’t thank you enough for being supportive and patient while I took my 2 week sabbatical from work. I knew I was depleted, but I didn’t realize how deeply depleted I was until I sat in stillness for a Silent Meditation and Restorative Yoga Retreat. I was exhausted at the beginning of it and by the end I finally felt like I was “back”. I’ve been cooking, gardening, organizing, and cleaning (which are all things I personally enjoy that I haven’t wanted to do for months now). Between the stillness of the retreat, turning inward, and a trip to commune with a few alpine lakes (one pictured above)- well I finally feel refreshed and inspired again. You supporting me allows me to support others in our community going through big things in their lives, so on behalf of our community I thank you again. LOL!
Loving us as we are,
CJoy
I know it’s hard to believe with this heat, but the Autumn Equinox is coming up and with it a seasonal transition that affects our bodies on a deep level. Living in tune with the seasons can bring a tremendous sense of harmony & well-being to your body, mind and soul. If we look to nature to learn we see a transition from external to internal. We see shorter days, longer nights, and an increase in wind energy, which can feel chaotic and variable, causing anxiety, worry or a “scattered mind”.
This workshop will use Feldenkrais Method, Restorative Yoga, and Sounding in order to indulge in a slow, rhythmic, fluid practice that will help us transition from external to internal. We will use this restorative time together to nurture and ground ourselves and prepare for the shifting of seasons. Join us won’tcha!
