Mood is influenced more by Digestion than by our Brain Chemistry

This is some crazy science coming in... Even more so than we originally thought - what we eat and the strength of our digestive fire (Agni) are the key to our health.

The folks who follow Ayurveda (the sister science to Yoga) have known this for centuries. Once again modern medical science is proving out their ancient wisdom.

No pill can help ya here peeps. Eating whole foods, avoid processed foods (especially refined sugar), and chewing your food thoroughly can change the state of your health! No joke.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t admit that during the time of COVID-19, my Binge Eating Disorder came back with a vengeance I have been struggling with eating so many processed, not good for me things. But I’m trying to get back on the bandwagon now and this has been a great motivator to not reach out to food to self-soothe (which is only short term easy, but long term hard). I have been re-learning not to reach for food for comfort, but to do yoga, meditate, take a bath, take a walk… anything that helps my CNS calm down.
